Our 80-year-old Bel-Tone Records BT 761 hasn't aged a bit!
Featuring Slim Gaillard (guitar, vibes), Dodo Marmarosa (piano), Dizzy Gillespie (trumpet), Charlie Parker (alto sax), Jack McVea (tenor sax), Tiny “Bam” Brown (bass) and Zutty Singleton (drums).
Although Dizzy Gillespie is not credited, informed discographies confirm that he is indeed playing the trumpet.

The 13000th item indexed in the CEMJazz database is a 78rmp 10” shellac Columbia 38097 from 1948 in its promotional version “Special Record for Radio Stations”.
It features Jimmie Lunceford and his Orchestra on tracks recorded in 1939 and initially released under the Vocalion label.
Side A: I Love You featuring Earl Carruthers (bs), Paul Webster (tp), Dan Grissom (vocal). Recorded may, 17 1939. Original release Vocalion 4979.
Side B: Aint She Sweet featuring Willie Smith (as), Al Norris (g), Ed Wilcox (p), The Lunceford Trio, Sy Oliver, Trummy Young (vocal). Recorded April, 7 1939. Original release Vocalion 44875.
